Revival Design Collective has earned the Ohio Department of Development’s EDGE certification, taking another important step in achieving workplace equality. The certification is for the firm’s headquarters in Coldwater, OH, as well as the Bellefontaine, OH studio.
The State of Ohio’s Encouraging Diversity, Growth, and Equity (EDGE) program establishes an annual goal for state agencies, boards, and commissions, as well as guidelines for state universities in awarding contracts to certified EDGE businesses.
This program is designed to uplift businesses by encouraging diversity, growth, and equity in obtaining state government contracts in the following areas: construction, architecture, and engineering; professional services; goods and services; and information technology services.
EDGE is a critical standard for equity in the workplace. Certification requires an assessment of five key areas:
- equal pay for equivalent work
- recruitment and promotion
- leadership development training and mentoring
- flexible working arrangements
- company culture
Revival is taking concrete steps toward workplace + industry equality, which is a priority in both our operations and the organization,`` said Cally Lange, owner of Revival Design Collective. ``I am proud that Revival is 99% women and that a majority female Leadership Team strengthens our work. We remain committed to providing an inclusive workplace where all staff can access the same opportunities, compensation, and resources, regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, or identity.``
Inclusion of people from different demographics, backgrounds, and affinities, is a strategic priority, and Revival has set ambitious targets for bolstering the recruitment and development of diverse talent. EDGE certification is a critical part of this effort.
