Alana prefers colorful and collected spaces with the occasional bold touch. Her aesthetic combines eclectic materials, creating a unique feeling in every room. She is a believer that personality can be reflected in the design of a space, and hers would be layered in colors, textures, wood tones, gold accents, and –of course– house plants.
With a passion for sustainability and actively pursuing ways to incorporate it into her designs, Alana is committed to leaving this world better than she found it. She follows that mission with her passion for the environment – launching the company-wide recycling program or designing eco-friendly homes.
Her degree in Architecture from Ball State University is a cornerstone for her designs. Alana was selected as a finalist in 2022, U.S. Department of Energy’s Solar Decathlon. Her team’s challenge was to ‘retrofit’ an abandoned structure and convert it into a net-zero home that offered affordable housing to the community. She brings these same problem–solving skills to life with each project she’s assigned and puts the client at ease with her energetic optimism and skill.
Alana grew up the second oldest of five children, so she’s no stranger to sharing and teamwork. Outside of the office, you can find her discovering and exploring new and exciting places, and spending time with friends and family. If she’s not wrapped up in a DIY project at home, she is in the kitchen cooking up a storm or baking some delicious treats.
